25 Sep Four Season’s in One Day!

We’ve had a bit of a rough start to the season, with a very heavy late-season frost recorded 2 weeks ago, just as our tender shoots and buds are emerging in the vineyard. It’s only now we are seeing the damage of sadly stunted and burnt-off normal growth. It will affect our yields, but we’re not really sure how much just yet. Time will tell!

In other news – we’d like to say thanks to the Queen for our upcoming long weekend (in WA) and we hope you can make the most of it. Are you heading south? I’d recommend it, but do remember to pack your bathers and your long johns, because we regularly experience, as Crowded House famously sung, “four seasons in one day”. We’ve been noticing in the cellar door that the 2016 Malbec is the hit at the moment, so we thought it might be time to make it wine of the week. It’s rich, dark and earthy and well worth cellaring for a few years if you can hide it away.
