Great Southern Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc & Malbec

The hand-picked fruit from this outstanding vintage was sourced entirely from the MOOMBAKI vineyard; 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Shiraz, 10% Malbec, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Selected from the very best barriques from the exceptional 2014 vintage, this reserve was matured for 30 months in the finest tight-grained French oak.

Bottled using minimal filtration this wine will continue to improve and impress over the next 20 years. ONLY 900 Bottles produced.

Appearance

A dense inky purple.

Aroma

Rich aromas of leafy blackberry, mocha and aniseed complemented by spicy, toasted French oak.

Palate

Initial flavours of black cherry and blackcurrant lead to a rich complex mid palate of licorice and redcurrant finishing with long fine tannins and the toasty spice and vanilla of premium French oak barriques.

Cellaring

This wine has the balance and structure to improve with careful cellaring over the next twenty years.
