10 Feb New release accolades
The release of the MOOMBAKI 2005 Reserve is gaining huge momentum following the 95 points it was awarded from James Halliday and its listing in the Best of the Best of Australian Wines in the category Cabernet Family in the recently released 2008 Wine Companion.
With only 5 acres under vines, MOOMBAKI is further cementing its reputation as a producer to watch (and purchase wines from!), as partners David Britten & Melissa Boughey focus on hand tending the vines with an emphasis on a sustainable and ecologically integrated whole farm approach.
The success of this is most notably evident in the protected wetlands that are home to breeding, migratory spoonbills for 8 months of each of the previous 5 years, as well as a decade old revegetation project that includes 25 acres of mixed native species supporting wildlife habitat.
