Moombaki Reserve Rated 95/100
Listed in Best of the Best Australian Wines by Variety (Cabernet Family)
2005 was an excellent vintage in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia and from our reds produced we have selected, together with James Kellie, three of the best barrels for further maturation to become the inaugural MOOMBAKI Reserve. Comprised of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, this special wine is dedicated to Morriss Watson – our viticultural mentor and valued friend who has guided us to become one of the premier wineries in the region, having himself contributed close to 50 years to the industry.
The Cabernet Blend (estate grown) and Shiraz (blend of estate grown and Frankland fruit) from which we selected the Reserve have gone on to win between them 4 Gold Medals from reputable shows as well as a 4 and a half star rating from WINESTATE and a 94 rating from James Halliday. You will certainly be rewarded for further cellaring of this wine. The wine has been packaged in a specially produced layflat 6 pack.
