2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec
Tasting Notes | Awards | Reviews | 2005 Vintage
Hand-picked from low-yielding, estate grown vines, this wine is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec.
Using minimal filtration, the intense varietal flavours are expressed within an impressively rich and long palate. Some naturally occurring sediment may remain. This wine has the balance and structure to improve over the next 15 years.
Tasting notes from winemaker James Kellie.

James Halliday 2008 Australian Wine Companion
A smooth and supple array of sweet red fruits, with some darker berry influences; light- to medium-bodied, the balance good and there is enough structure. 14% alcohol.

A ripe, chocolaty/sweet berry style with succulent plum and toasty oak aromas. Flavoursome chocolaty/blackberry palate with great acid structure and chewy tannins.
